Can a girl with a past save a town with no future?  A heart-warming story of hope and redemption.  Beautifully told with a well-crafted, folksy score filled with soaring melodies.  Percy Talbott has chosen Gilead, Wisconsin as the place to start her new life, having seen an idyllic picture of the town in a travel magazine.  Her arrival changes lives as others begin to see the "forest for the trees" through Percy's hopeful eyes.

The Sugar Bean Sisters

March 7 - March 30, 2008

By Nathan Sanders

An offbeat story of romance, murder, and
alien abduction!

Stir in old-time Florida tall tales, wacky UFO supermarket tabloid headlines and some venomous hot one-liners and you have this surreal comedy.  Faye Clementine and Willie Mae Nettles are middle-aged sisters, just a pair of "bachelor girls" living in a tin-roofed, run-down shack near the Florida swamp town of Sugar Bean.  Determined to escape spinsterhood, Willie Mae has set her eye on a handsome Mormon minister, while Faye plans to hop the next spaceship out of town!
